Think carefully and decide before you go

Both ABC and EBC are equally traveller-loving places. When different tourists are asked to compare the two, they express their opinions in their way. Some people think ABC is good, and some EBC review Trekking ABC & EBC.

But we would like to suggest to our tourism-loving friends who are unaware of these two trekking routes that if you are healthy, young, and strong, you can visit Everest. But if you are weak, old, or traveling with a child, it would be better to go on Annapurna trekking.

Also, if you are already familiar with trekking, you can go to either of the two places.
It is also worth noting that it takes two weeks to go trekking on Everest.

And you have to reach a height of about 5,500 meters. During this journey, you will also have to rest for 2/3 days on the way to balance the oxygen in your body.

But while going to Annapurna Base Camp, you only have to reach a maximum height of 4,100 meters. Hence, the risk of altitude sickness in this trek is very low, and the journey is comparatively easy.

Trekking route

The most convenient way to complete this trek would be to fly from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport. After that, your exciting walking journey will begin.
You will not have to worry about accommodation during the walking journey as there will be hotel lodges with the necessary facilities on this route.

Carrying only light luggage as required for a trekking trip would be better.

Food and drink will be a bit expensive, but you will say that getting all this at such a remote place is more than my expectation at such a low price.

Most of the journey route passes through villages; some places seem uninhabited due to rocky mountain ranges. But if you go in the right season, you will meet many co-travelers on the way.

Annapurna Base Camp Tour (ABC)

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking is the world’s shortest, thrilling, and easy mountain trekking. This trekking route is not only for foreigners but also a popular trekking route for the citizens of Nepal itself.

Mount Annapurna is one of the highest mountains in the world, at more than 8,000 meters. Humans successfully reached the peak for the first time.

On 3 June 1950, the French expedition led by Maurice Herzog took its first steps on the Annapurna peak. Before that day, people had never imagined that they could climb a peak higher than 8,000 meters.

In ABC trekking, apart from Annapurna, you will also be able to see all the peaks of Annapurna range higher than 7,000 meters. You will also get to see mountains of religious importance, like 8,167 meters high in Dhaulagiri Mountain, 6,993 meters in Machhapuchhre Mountain, and 7,061 meters in Nilgiri.

In this trekking called ABC, you can find not one but two base camps. One is the Annapurna base camp, and the other is the Machhapuchhre base camp.

In addition, you will have a good opportunity to see the lifestyle and culture of the Gurung caste and other Himalayan tribes.

While returning from this trek, you can also enjoy the hot water pond on the Jhinu Hill route, which is considered a curative or healthy bath.

Trekking to Annapurna Base Camp is not difficult compared to other treks. Some people have even taken children over ten years of age on this route.

Best Season For Trekking

The best time for both these treks is spring and autumn. When visiting during these seasons, there is no need to worry about the roads becoming slippery due to heavy snow and rain blocking the roads.

Different kinds of normal and well-managed hotels are available, providing food, tea, refreshments, bathrooms, and accommodation as per the location on both routes. So you need not worry about all these things.

The price of all these items may also vary according to accessibility and inaccessibility. But it will not seem expensive to you compared to the difficult location and transportation.
