Destruction Of The Solar System

When Will The Destruction Of The Solar System Begin?

Will the Sun and Earth die sooner than we think?

We cannot predict our lifespan because human science has not yet developed the ability, knowledge, or mechanisms to guarantee our lifespan. However, we may be curious to know when the destruction of the solar system will begin.

Modern science has been able to estimate how long animals and plants can survive on Earth. Astronomy is also able to predict how the giant Sun and Earth will end up in the future.

Therefore, in this series, we are presenting interesting and sensational material on the subject of when and in what form the Sun and Earth will end as per scientific belief. And what will be the condition of all the animals, humans, and plants of the Earth?

In addition, we also provide a brief comparative review of what Hindu philosophy says about the end of the Earth and the Sun. Whether the timetable for the destruction of the world is similar from the viewpoint of Hindu religious philosophy and modern physical science?

Therefore, we request you to read this exploratory and interesting presentation till the end and get information about all its interesting facts.

Now, without any delay, let’s go straight to the subject matter.

The life span of the Sun and Earth

It has been more than four and a half billion years since the Earth on which we live was born.

And, in the celestial universe, there is a small-sized star that gave birth to our Earth, which we call the Sun. The Sun provides heat and light to the Earth and makes it habitable for living beings and plants.

It is estimated that the Sun was born a little before the Earth, i.e., 4.60 billion years ago.

Thus, we may be curious to know how many years the Sun will continue to burn or survive which has been burning in the sky for thousands of years.

Through long-term research, astronomers have published clear opinions on how many years the Sun may live in the future.

The number of years the Sun can live depends on when the Sun’s energy runs out. Let’s see when the nuclear energy in the Sun will run out.

How does the Sun shine?

We all know that in the center of the Sun, two hydrogen atoms join together and turn into helium elements, which is known as nuclear fusion.

Thus, 500 million tons of hydrogen atoms per second fuse in the center of the Sun and are converted into helium elements. This results in temperatures on the Sun’s outer surface reaching 5,500 degrees Celsius, producing billions of megawatts of heat and light energy.
This power is spread in the surrounding universe, and due to this, life on Earth becomes possible.

But can this energy of the Sun remain like this forever?

When will the Sun run out of fuel?

Let’s further evaluate how much hydrogen the Sun has burned over the past 4.5 billion years and how much is left.

There are billions of stars in our universe, including a million stars as big as the Sun.

To calculate when the Sun will run out of energy, scientists researched how many years it took for other stars the size of our Sun to run out of hydrogen energy.
What was observed in this research was that the hydrogen of Sun-sized stars would be exhausted in about 9 to 10 billion years. The stars whose hydrogen was exhausted were then found to be transformed into dwarf stars or powerless bodies.

Based on this fact, almost all astronomers agreed that the total age of the Sun could be 9.10 billion years. It was also said that after that time, the future of the Sun could be anything.

If so, our Sun’s energy has reduced by 50 percent. And since he is already half his age. Therefore, it was concluded that the Sun could continue to shine for only about 5 billion years.

How long will animals and plants last on Earth?

You might be thinking that the Sun will last up to 5 billion years, so our Earth will also survive for the next 5 billion years. We humans will also survive for the same period, and then, according to scientific belief, you will be proved wrong.

Scientifically, it has been concluded that the life span of the Earth and its animals and plants is so short compared to that of the Sun that you will be surprised to hear this.

Let us now look at these scientific facts for how many years our Earth can survive and what will happen to us humans after that.

luminosity and temperature of the Sun are increasing slowly

We say that the power of the Sun to shine is only for 5 billion years. But before that time, changes in the Sun will bring our Earth to an extreme state of destruction.

Because of the regular changes occurring in the Sun, long before the Sun’s hydrogen fusion system ends, the Earth will no longer be suitable for living animals and plants, and all life on Earth will cease to exist.

Why do most of Earth’s animals and plants become extinct within a billion years?

Why is it that, at present, the luminosity and temperature of the Sun are increasing at the rate of 1 percent every ten million years? However, since humanity has been on this Earth for only 2 lakh years. That is why we are not able to feel this change in the Sun.

Thus, as the Sun’s luminosity increases, the Sun’s temperature will increase by 10 percent within a billion years, which is a dangerous situation for biological diversity and environmental balance on Earth.

If so, will humans continue to survive on our Earth for another billion years? Maybe this is not possible. But it is said that some very small marine creatures in the world can survive till then.

Of course, most astronomers say that if any life or plant is found on this Earth after a billion years, it will be just a matter of coincidence or luck.
But the human community is in danger of disappearing from the Earth even before that.

After 500 million years, due to the increase in temperature on this Earth, the amount of carbon dioxide will be reduced significantly. By that stage, plants cannot produce food, and larger and medicinal plants will rapidly die out.

Then, gradually, the small plants will die out. As a result, there will be a shortage of food for animals, and mammals will be the first to become extinct.

The last stage of disappearing animals and plants on Earth

As time passes, widespread desertification will begin on Earth due to increased heat and light from the Sun.

In such a situation, human settlements will migrate towards coastal areas or hilly areas to escape the heat.
But by that time, all the mountains will melt and turn into rocks. Meanwhile, snow ponds and rivers will also dry up gradually.

Even after this, living people and some living animals will remain concentrated at the Earth’s North and South Poles for a limited period. Those two poles will remain cold and watery for a long time, but even there, human life will gradually disappear due to a lack of vegetation and food.

According to astronomers, by that time, the amount of oxygen will also reduce significantly because plants on our Earth will be destroyed on a large scale.
As a result of this, the oxygen required for animals will also be reduced, and large animals, including humans, will gradually become extinct.

Thus, even if human communities collapse along with large animals, some smaller organisms and the weeds, mosses, and lichens of the polar ice fields may survive for the next millions of years.

By this time, when the human community reaches the stage of destruction, there will be drastic changes in the ocean conditions.

Earth will turn into a hot planet like Venus.

According to astronomers, due to the increase in the temperature of the Sun in the next one billion years, the process of evaporation of seawater will take shape. Some seas will turn into salty deserts, and some sea water will dry up and become small ponds, and eventually, all the seas will dry up and become non-existent.

In this way, after all the water present on the Earth evaporates, the Earth will reach the state of the super greenhouse. And the Earth’s temperature will gradually heat up and reach above 1000 degrees Celsius.

Scientific researchers say that in that situation, it will be possible for humans to live on Mars because the temperature there will be balanced, but our Earth will turn into a hot body like the present Venus.

The terrible end of the Sun and the uncertainty of the Earth

Lonely, desolate, and deserted life of the Earth

An interesting but also sad fact about the end of the Earth is that our Earth will be turned into a hot mass after a billion years. Then, it will also become deserted and lonely, saying goodbye to all the creatures and vegetation.

Despite that, the Earth alone will continue to revolve around the Sun without us humans for many billions of years and will keep counting its last days.

Because within a billion years, the Earth will lose all the animals and plants present here. But even in that case, the age of the Sun is still 3.4 billion years left. The Earth would become like a hot iron ingot. But being the son of the Sun, he will have to spend a long time waiting for the last phase of the Sun.

The terrible last form of the Sun

After about 4 to 5 billion years, all the hydrogen in the Sun will be exhausted, and terrible changes will occur. Today, the Sun is in gravitational balance due to the fusion of hydrogen. As that energy runs out in the Sun, an infinite gravitational imbalance will develop at the Sun’s center. As a result, the Sun’s surface will begin to expand.

According to astronomy, at that time, the Sun would initially be like a white ball and then gradually turn into a huge red ball. This stage, In the language of astronomy, is explained as the last giant state of the stars or the ‘red giant’ state.

After reaching such a situation, the present volume of the Sun will also expand massively, and possibly planets like Mercury and Venus will be swallowed by the Sun or will be absorbed inside that huge red solar body.

Various possibilities have been suggested in astronomy regarding what will happen to the Earth after the Sun comes into this state.

The current law of gravity and balance of the solar family is broken

Because after the Sun assumes the monstrous form of a red sphere, the planets of the solar system, too, will not have the same balance in their orbits and gravity as they do today. And the entire solar system will be disrupted.

Thus, when the law of gravity between the Sun and the planets breaks down, the Earth will either break into pieces or be forced to disappear from the Sun’s orbit into space. Even if this does not happen, experts still say that it may eventually merge into the Sun.

Even after this period, the Sun will not end immediately. In this way, the Sun that turns into a red and hot ball will gradually cool down and turn back into a black, cold sun.

In this way, the Sun can survive for many years. But the possibility is that the Sun has cooled down and lost its power. The probability of being swallowed by another massive celestial body or supernova will also increase.

Additionally, astronomers have said that the Sun, which is currently orbiting the galaxy, may deviate from its orbital path and may even merge with another object in space after reaching that position.

Will Earth’s creatures die from heat and starvation?

No, there is no such possibility if the Sun and the Earth end naturally.

You must have felt a chill in your heart after hearing about the tragic end of the Sun and the Earth and the destruction of the human community. That one day, we humans will die of hunger and will burn to death due to the heat of the Sun.

If you think like this, then this will also be wrong. Because we humans are very lucky, if the Earth dies naturally, as stated above, we will not have to burn in the heat or die of hunger.

Because the events described above have not happened in one or two hundred years, this is not even a change that has happened in the interval of 2,4 thousand years. This phenomenon takes millions of years to develop because, after 100 million years, the temperature of the Sun will increase by 1 degree centigrade.

Therefore, this type of natural change or environmental change takes millions of years. It happens so slowly that a person like us who has lived for 100 years is not able to understand this change.

The immediate human generation would understand that the Earth, as it existed at that time, is the general form of the Earth. And the people of that generation will survive by being habitable in it. Like we are living in today’s situation.

Furthermore, humans and plants gradually diminish or disappear over millions of years, and we do not even realize that they have diminished or disappeared.

It is a concept of physical science that is a process of the natural end of the Sun and Earth, as well as humans and plants.

Is it true that the Earth will remain habitable for all of us for more than 500 million years?

Dear friends, this question can never be answered in the affirmative.

Future researchers and experts are talking about dozens of such possibilities or factors that can be destroyed due to other accidental reasons long before this Earth reaches a state of natural cataclysm. Due to this, the Earth and human community may be partially or destroyed at any time in the future.

Even if we talk about all those reasons in brief, they cannot be covered in this single article. Therefore, only the main reasons are mentioned here.

The following major accidental causes or causative factors can become partial or complete causes of earth disasters. It can cause the extinction of humans and plants, including the Earth.

  1. Destruction caused by a celestial body or comet colliding with the Earth
  2. The devastation that could be caused by a competitive nuclear war in the world or the devastation that could be caused by the effects of a nuclear accident or explosion even if there is no war.
  3. Genocide caused by artificial virus production and unexpected spread like Corona
  4. Possibility of the eruption of some volcanoes present in an explosive state under the Earth.
  5. Effects of earthquakes above 9 Richter scale
  6. The result of environmental imbalance is caused by modernity, lifestyle, forest destruction, etc.

Many other contingent factors may affect this Earth and the world of life in whole or in part. We will discuss such destructive factors in the next series.

Finally, what is written about the destruction of the universe in Hindu philosophy, which is followed by more than 120 million people in the world and is full of ancient and vast texts?
